STAGE INTERPRETATION OF A MUSICAL WORK: THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL ASPECTS

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to reveal the general picture of the phenomenon of performance interpretation, its practical and theoretical components, which directly affect its content and successful implementation. As the object of our analysis, we will note the theoretical and practical components of the phenomenon of stage interpretation of a vocal work. In the research methodology of the declared topic, we refer to the system analysis, the principle of structuring the obtained data, generalization of executive, pedagogical and organizational experience.The main focus of our research was focused on highlighting the theoretical basis of the foundations and practical component of performing interpretation, substantiating the array of its theoretical and practical components, taking into account innovative means of support. The scientific novelty of the research is the identification, definition and disclosure of the general system of elements, which is the theoretical and practical basis of a successful stage interpretation of avocal work. Conclusions. The structure and initial basis of interpretation in theperformance of a vocalist combines two huge components: the practice of performing in front of an audience and its theoretical basis. Focusing attention on the structureof interpretation as a creative process and the result of executive activity becamepossible thanks to the analysis of materials, dedicated to executive activity, as well as their systematization by revealing the internal content and characteristic features of one or another component of the phenomenon. All these components, in turn, create a single large-scale and versatile structure united by the concept of «stage interpretation of a musical work». A theoretical understanding of the nature of the stage interpretation of a vocal work implies the presence of such a spectrum of fields of consideration: historical; methodological; pedagogical; psychological; stylistic. The practical component of building a stage interpretation of a vocal piece involves taking into account the following components: technological apparatus; performance techniques; tool kit; execution environment; directing component; marketing component. Identifying the emotional coloring, style of the singer and the composer’s era or performing school requires direct and deep knowledge of such aspects of performing practice as professional techniques and performance instruments.
