MUSIC GENRE AS A REFLECTION OF THE SOCIOCULTURAL SPACE OF OUR TIME (ON THE EXAMPLE FOR SONATA FOR VIOLA SOLO № 2 V. BIBIKA)

Abstract

Research purpose is to identify and explore the peculiarities of the interpretation of the musical genre through the prism of modern composer thinking. To consider the characteristic tendencies of development of the genre nature of the XX century, based on the compositional features, formation and figurative content of a particular work. Describe the features of V. Bibik’s compositional handwriting and stylistic concepts of the artist’s work. The methodology of the research is based on the interaction of special and general research methods and approaches, including: historical-philosophical, analytical, comparative, culturological, systemic, structural-functional, genrestyle analysis, theoretical-analytical, art and executive analysis of research. The scientific novelty of this study for the first time the modern Ukrainian repertoire for viola solo is considered through the prism of musical symbolism and updated interpretation by composers of the category of musical genre; analyzed the main compositional techniques that contribute to the integrity of genre perception; the work defined in the study is analyzed in terms of historical significance, which is emphasized by the composer’s use of established rhetorical figures and signs-symbols that enrich the interpretation of the composition with deep semantic meanings; the influence of the figurative palette of the work on the peculiarities of the interpretation of the genre, formation and drama of the musical composition is investigated; “the Ukrainian modern work for viola solo” was considered and introduced into scientific and performing circulation, which will promote its distribution among musicologists and performers; substantiated the importance of modern works for the viola solo in the assertion of the viola as a full-fledged solo instrument; in the context of ukrainian viola art, the value of the modern repertoire palette is proved, which is a reflection of the sociocultural space of modernity. Conclusions. The main genre concepts of the modern viola repertoire, on the example for Sonata for viola solo № 2 V. Bibika, are revealed and researched, which are expressed in the expansion of the boundaries of the means of expression, the use of established musical symbols, the philosophical orientation and unity of dramaturgy and form. The main principles of the development of the genre nature of the viola work solo, which is seen in the conciseness of the theme, the slowness of the dramatic development and the improvisational manner of musical presentation, are studied.
