Abstract

The article deals with the concept of style in its modern sense, defines the basic approaches to the phenomenon of classical style. The main tendencies of Haydn's symphony method get response in the context of representations of him as a leading representative of classical orchestral music. Special attention is paid to parties of wind instruments in a symphonic composer and their functionality.
