Abstract

The article is devoted to a comprehensive review of the problems of development of modern academic choral art a cappella. The aim of the research is to study develop a genre typology of modern academic choral music a cappella. Assessing the prospects of the corresponding typology, it is necessary to take into account the genetic characteristics of the academic choral art a cappella and the synthetic nature of the latter. Methodology. The study uses a musical and cultural approach to the study of academic choral art a cappella, which allows us to consider choral music in the context of the evolution of its genre tradition. Scientific novelty is determined by the introduction of systemic and structural approaches in the development of the genre structure of the system of modern academic choral music a cappella. The conclusions. The genre typology of modern academic choral a cappella music was developed, which is based on two positions. From the first position, which takes into account the external and internal aspects of the existence of the genre, modern academic choral a cappella music is divided into concert, concert-theatrical and spiritual concert. The second approach to the genre typology of academic choral a cappella music involves focusing on the principles of interaction and continuity. To the choral genres, where the principle of interaction is applied, include works based on genre synthesis. It was found that the classification of musical genres, in particular, choral, is characterized not only by the distinction between specific criteria of taxonomy, but also represents the main vectors of the genre dynamics of modern academic choral a cappella music and the general principles of its typology. An equally priority aspect of modern musicological studies is the approach to building a genre typology of a cappella choral music, which focuses on the analysis of the principles of synthesis (within the choral genre itself, between genres of music and polygenre).
