SONGS OF V. VLASOV FROM THE REPERTOIRE OF THE BANDURIST TRIO “МALVІ”: THE FIRST READING OF THE “NEW MUSIC” FOR THE BANDURA
Abstract
The goal of the work The article reveals the peculiarities of the composer’s writing and the performance properties of the vocal works for the trio of bandurists V. Vlasov. The research methodology consists in the application of aesthetic- cultural and musicological analytical methods, as well as interdisciplinary and performance approaches, which together form a single methodological basis of the study. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the discovery of new approaches to the embodiment of bandura vocals in the music of the Odessa composer in terms of the relationship with the instrumental part and modern features of the bandura concert performance style. Conclusions. The music of V. Vlasov is at the peak of popularity and interest of professionals and listeners, because it is always marked by the originality of the musical language, the originality and freshness of the embodiment of musical ideas, is closely connected with the traditions of Ukrainian classics, continues the innovative line of using folklore and demonstrates the introduction of the latest compositional techniques (in particular , author’s). His music is characterized by a romantic tendency to embody the inner world of a person in the subtleties of its psychological nuances. Bandur music of V. Vlasov is distinguished by bright, recognizable stylistic musical-linguistic and visual-artistic qualities, in particular, specific harmonic complexes with “favorite” quarter-second formations and jazz rhythms, sophisticated melodiousness of a lyrical-psychological direction, genre-characteristic sketches or philosophical generalizations . Bandur songs of Vlasov today make up a special, separate layer of concert and educational repertoire of bandur players. Bandur sound, “adapted” for vocal accompaniment by the chamber pluck sound extraction with simultaneous chamber-“orchestral” texture-register coverage, specific sonority-pedal of long, closely spaced strings, in Vlasov’s compositional work emphasizes both the traditionality of delicate string accompaniment and the innovation of the composer’s language regarding harmonic, metro-rhythmic, textural, stylistic features of a recognizable individual style. This allows performers to show the variability of their own interpretation and artistry.
